New mall

The property arm of one of the country's oldest conglomerates is rumored to have won the rights to lease the Zuzuarregui family's lot currently occupied by the Ever Gotesco mall along Commonwealth Ave. in Quezon City. A new mall will reportedly be constructed on the site according to one of the officials of an association of homeowners in the area. If plans push through, the site - which is still surrounded by raw land for future expansion - will provide the property firm another opportunity to strengthen its foothold north of Metro Manila, especially as it has had problems with informal settlers for an envisioned business district nearby.
