Jarata, Feb 25 (ANTARA) - In the nearly two months since January 202, dengue fever has continued to plague various areas across Indonesia.
In spite of the fact that the government had earlier warned the
population in various provinces to be wary of the deadly disease during the rainy season, its outbreak continues unabated.
Dengue fever is reported in the provinces of Maluku, Central Java, Central Kalimantan, South Kalimantan, Central Sulawesi, and North Sumatra with 24 cases in Langkat District in February, and Bangka-Belitung with 65 cases, also in February.
Further, Dengue fever in Southeast Maluku district, Maluku Province, has claimed at least four lives since February 2,
and 26 others with the fever have been admitted to the Karel Sasuitubun Regional Hospital in Langgur.
