After the decisive decisions that the Arab League has taken regarding the events in Syria, eyes are turning towards Tunisia now where the "Friends of Syria Conference" will be held on 24 February under the title "Supporting the Syrian People." This is considering the fact that the Syrian opposition is banking on the conference coming out with effective decisions that will put an end to bloodshed that has been ongoing in Syria for 11 months, and expects that such international rallying will be a factor of intense pressure not only on the Syrian regime that is pursing the military force option, but also on Russia that remains a main obstacle to any Arab or international action towards Syria.
