THE PROSECUTION PANEL sees Chief Justice Renato C. Corona's withdrawal of his time deposit accounts on the day he was impeached as cementing their allegations of the head magistrate's betrayal of public trust, a claim that the defense team said they would challenge.

"It certainly raises a lot of questions as to why the CJ (Chief Justice) would do such a thing on the day he is impeached," Rep. Juan Edgardo M. Angara (lone district, Aurora) said in a text message last Friday.
