U TV builds roosts beyond Peacock nest.

Universal Television is making good on its intent to find buyers outside of NBC.

The studio received two pilot orders on Monday, from CBS and Fox. Fox also ordered two projects, a comedy and a drama, from Sony Pictures Television.

Mindy Kaling of NBC's "The Office" will star in a Fox comedy pilot originally intended for NBC, which passed, opening it up for other bidders. She will also exec produce with Howard Klein.

The untitled pilot is described as a young "Bridget Jones"-type doctor trying to navigate both her personal and professional lives.
