Amman - Leftist and youth activists say they will join forces with striking teachers this Friday [10 February] in the hope that rising frustration over public sector salaries will breathe new life into the pro-reform movement.

In a so-called "Friday of Support for Teachers and Traders," activists plan to hit the streets in downtown Amman, putting aside political slogans to rally behind a cause they claim is at the heart of the pro-reform movement.
