The drowning of 11 people in Lake Bisina in Kumi District on Tuesday morning has sparked off fury among residents over the delayed procurement of a ferry for travellers on the lake.

At least seven bodies had been recovered by press time. A 25-year-old mother, her two children aged five and three, and a 12-year-old deaf girl, who was travelling with her father for enrollment at Ngora School for the Deaf, were among those who perished in the tragedy.
