Malaysia to be India's textile hub in Asean.

IN conjunction with the largest India Textile Exposition in Asean - INTEXPO 2011 - India has signed three separate Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with key trade organisations in Malaysia. The signing was the first step towards developing Malaysia as a hub for the nation's textile trade in the Asean region.

The event was graced by H E Vijay K Gokhale, High Commissioner of India in Malaysia.

India's economic relationship with Malaysia has been actively developed over the years with close to US$ 228 million worth of textile and clothing export business conducted for the year …
