Hashimoto eyes 200 seats in lower house for Osaka Ishin no Kai

Osaka Mayor Toru Hashimoto is hoping candidates fielded by Osaka Ishin no Kai (Osaka restoration group) will win 200 seats in the next general election, according to a senior member of the group.

The group is planning to run about 300 candidates in the next general election for the 480-seat House of Representatives.

Hashimoto also plans to establish and head a political institute, Ishin Seijijuku (Ishin political institute), in March and start training candidates for the election.
