UK linear TV viewing figures in 2011 equalled the record high set in 2010 with the average viewer watching 4 hours 2 minutes or linear TV a day (28 hours and 14 minutes a week), according to data released by the Broadcasters' Audience Research Board (BARB) and Thinnkbox. This derlines viewers' preference for watching TV as it is broadcast and on a TV set whenever possible.
