Corporate Social Responsibility Is Not Just About 'Corporate' Charity.

In this world of media and consultant driven flummery, words are often stripped of their real meaning and serve to obfuscate rather than elucidate. In my first ever column I complained about the use, or rather the misuse of the word "investor" in Uganda.
A very good friend of mine often complains about the popular emasculation of the word "culture". Culture is now largely taken to mean music, dance, and drama, things that my friend, rightly, insists are by-products or mere evidence of culture. Today I want to bemoan the abuse, misuse and misapplication of the term "Corporate Social Responsibility".
