KUALA LUMPUR: The New Straits Times Press (M) Bhd-Media Prima flood relief mission left for the east coast yesterday.
The mission, a joint effort with Tesco Malaysia and Kelab Redah 4x4, will deliver basic necessities such as rice, sugar, flour, coffee and tea to about 500 families in Terengganu and Kelantan.
Among those who will benefit are 87 families in Setiu, 61 senior citizens in Kampung Tok Dor, Besut, 277 families in Jabi, Besut, and 45 families in Pasir Putih.
Media Prima contributed RM60,000 and Tesco, RM15,000, to buy the goods that would be distributed by 33 volunteers from NSTP, Media Prima and Kelab Redah 4x4. …
