Dec. 28--The Douglas County Board is considering a new way of doing business after the April election reduces its ranks to 21. With fewer members to serve on committees, the board is considering reducing the size and number of committees, eliminating some monthly meetings and consolidating some of the panels that review issues in depth for recommendations to the full board. Douglas County's executive committee approved the plan in an effort to alleviate the workload for newly elected supervisors.
