The National Forest Authority has authorised an investor to fence off about two acres of Kitubulu Central Forest Reserve to stop people from trespassing on his newly constructed eco-tourism accommodation facilities.

The move has since attracted criticism from conservationists and the community around the forest reserve.

According to a letter signed by the Director Natural Forests, who doubles as the acting NFA Executive Director, Mr Hudson Andrua, the forest body allowed a city businessman, also proprietor of Ssese Gateway Beach in Entebbe, Mr Erieza Kaggwa, to fence off his eco-tourism forest beach in the forest reserve.
