Sizing Europe, who proved himself the best two-mile chaser in training when winning the Queen Mother Champion Chase at the Cheltenham Festival in March, was an easy winner of the Tingle Creek Chase at Sandown on Saturday on his first return to Britain since that success.

The Irish chaser never looked in serious danger after taking up the running from long-time leader Wishfull Thinking at the end of the back straight and was kicked clear to beat Kauto Stone by eight lengths at the line.
