A MASKED robber who threatened a 79-year-old shop worker at knifepoint was yesterday jailed for four years.

Heroin addict Matthew Mills hid his face with a black balaclava when he raided a Peterhead newsagent's earlier this year.

The 32-year-old snatched hundreds of pounds from the till and told staff that they would get it back from insurance.

Mills appeared at the High Court in Edinburgh and admitted assault and robbery at the D&E Milne store in North Street on July 31. Last night, the shop's part-owner, Evelyn Milne, said she was relieved Mills's guilty plea meant she would …
