Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) has launched a crackdown on kiosks which do not meet required standards and those positioned in areas deemed to obstruct traffic.
The first victims are those selling airtime on Kampala Road, which were removed yesterday by KCCA law enforcement officers.
"They have refused to comply with the directive to remove the kiosks voluntarily and we have no option but to remove it for them," KCCA Director for Physical Planning, Mr George Agaba, told Daily Monitor yesterday.
