Prasarana not biased against private firms.

We refer to the letter "Private bus firms will thrive" (NST, Oct 31).
As an establishment set up by the government to upgrade the standard of public transport, Syarikat Prasarana Negara Bhd, which operates RapidKL buses in the Klang Valley and Selangor, is all for providing better services for commuters.
Hence, the issue of discrimination against private bus companies, as suggested by Y.S. Chan in his letter, does not arise.
Prasarana is all for the growth of the transport system and is ready to complement private bus companies.
