Strictly wins fright night fight, leaving its ITV rival for dead X FACTOR has been plunged into crisis after being beaten in the ratings by TV rival Strictly Come Dancing.
The news is a bitter blow to bosses.
Only last week, head judge Gary Barlow, 40, said: "If we were the number two Saturday night show, I'd be really worried." Now his nightmare has come true - on Halloween.
The two award-winning talent shows overlapped on Saturday night.
During the clash, Strictly had 9.7 million viewers, with a peak of 11.5 million.
But X Factor lagged behind on 8.6 million, peaking at 11 …
