Morocco added 1.18 million mobile phone customers in the third quarter, taking the total to 36.15 million, according to telecommunications regulator ANRT. At the end of September 2010, the mobile customer base stood at 30.5 million. Maroc Telecom had a 46.94 percent mobile market share in the third quarter, down on 48.59 percent in the second quarter. Medi Telecom's share rose to 32.82 percent from 32.46 percent and Wana Corporate's increased to 20.24 percent from 18.95 percent. The price reduction trend continued, with an average revenue per minute of MAD 0.76 in mobile as of 30 September, 35 percent less than MAD 1.17 a year earlier.
