Kingston, Jamaica, 18 October: Revenue from the Kingston Container Terminal doubled to 12bn Jamaican dollars (139.9m US dollars) annually between the period 2004 and this year, a senior official in the Ministry of Transport and Works has said.

Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Transport and Works, Dr Alwin Hales, said that the terminal is the country's primary transshipment facility and the Port Authority of Jamaica's main revenue earner.
