Los Angeles -- The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers has won an Emmy Award for Technology and Engineering for developing local ad-insertion standards for cable.

The professional and standards-development association will be honored during the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences' 63rd Annual Technology & Engineering Emmy Awards ceremony, to be held Jan. 12, 2012, at the Venetian Hotel Spa & Casino in conjunction with the 2012 International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
