Broadband access and home networking technology provider Lantiq has expanded its family of single-chip services for cordless home telephony. The Cosic Wdct, a 2.4 GHz version of the company's Dect service, features wideband voice and low-rate data services to cordless handsets targeted at Asia-Pacific countries and emerging markets that use this unlicensed frequency range. The Cosic Wdct includes wideband coding and transmission and acoustic echo cancellation results in HD voice quality for conversation and recording, including full duplex hands-free speaking with HD sound.
