Orange Kenya said it has joined the mPedigree scheme to counter fake medicines. It said mPedigree is an international network of principal telecom operators and leading pharmaceutical industry associations in Africa It said mPedigree allows patients and medical service providers to find out whether drugs are genuine by typing in the serial number on the medicine packet and sending it to a four-digit code.
