Mian Abrar Ahmad, President, Karachi Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI) convened meeting of all Seven Industrial Towns Associations to apprise them of the meeting held with Dr Asim Hussain, Minister of Petroleum Natural Resources on the issue of load-shedding in the industrial areas.

Siraj Kassam Teli, Chairman, Businessmen Group apprised the participants. On demand of KCCI and intervention of Minister, it was agreed that KESC shall discontinue load-shedding in the industrial areas of Karachi wef 3rd October, 2011.
