Sitcom vet Bruce Helford is in negotiations to take the reins of Charlie Sheen's comeback series, Lionsgate TV's "Anger Management."

Lionsgate narrowed the field of showrunner candidates late last week and began talks with Helford on Monday. Deal is outside the norm of typical primetime showrunner pacts because the show aims to pursue a dual track distribution model through cable and firstrun syndication, as Lionsgate and distrib Debmar-Mercury have successfully done with several Tyler Perry-produced skeins.
