THOUSANDS of runners will take to the roads around Inverness and Loch Ness this weekend for the 10th annual Baxters Loch Ness Marathon.
The participants and their families are expected to boost the local economy by around GBP2million.
Runners from 45 countries are taking part in the marathon and other events, including a 10K race, 5K fun run and a Wee Nessie run for children. For spectators, the event village at Bught Park in Inverness has adventure rides for the first time.
