Deciding how much to ask for when selling a home is one of the trickiest decisions of the property game. Too high and you'll price yourself out of the market; too low and it will leave you out of pocket.

Most home sellers aren't valuation experts so their first port of call must be to an estate agent. But even before that, a seller should spend time looking online at comparable homes nearby which are for sale (to get an amateur's feel for price).
