Moray's troubled Silver Sands caravan park could be transformed into a vibrant holiday destination if plans for a buyout are successful.

A consortium of leisure industry entrepreneurs visited the Lossiemouth site this week and said the purchase could be completed within days.

The group is keen to buy Silver Sands and the Riverside Caravan Park at Forres from administrators for an undisclosed sum.

The site's former owner, Green Parcs, went into administration with debts of GBP14million last summer. Administrator Deloitte put the Lossiemouth and Forres caravan parks on the market, …
