DBP officials facing charges.

BUSINESSMAN ROBERTO V. Ongpin yesterday filed a complaint against Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) officials in connection with the alleged P600 million in behest loans.

Charged with libel and violation of the anti-graft law at the Ombudsman were DBP Chairman Jose A. Nunez, Jr., President and Chief Executive Francisco del Rosario, spokesman Zenaida Ongkiko-Acorda and some members of the board.

The complaint cited an Aug. 10 press conference where DBP accused Mr. Ongpin and his Delta Venture Resources, Inc. (DVRI) of failure to pay the loans as the company was "unqualified" to borrow.
