NAPIER, New Zealand--Japan will be hoping to take a leaf out of the book of its host today when it takes on Canada in its final Rugby World Cup game.
On Feb. 3, 1931, Napier was destroyed by an earthquake only for it to re-emerge soon after as the jewel of Hawke's Bay. Rebuilt in the Art Deco style popular at the time, Napier was, in 2007, nominated as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
