A PRIMARY school was spruced up in time for the new term, thanks to a team of hard-working volunteers.

Welbeck Primary School in Walker, Newcastle, got a lick of paint before its 400 pupils came back to the classrooms this month.

Homes Newcastle's Young People's Service, were joined by volunteers from Frank Haslam Milan and the Dulux Decorator Centres store on the Fossway in Newcastle, in decorating corridors and dining areas throughout the school.
