Yesterday, the European Parliament began discussing a report on the problems of the Black Sea. The document is part of the EU [European Union] Black Sea strategy that Brussels is counting on to help it strengthen its positions in the region. This irritates Moscow, which sees in the strategy an attempt to damage its own interests. Especially since Brussels prefers to discuss the problems of the Black Sea region with countries of the "Eastern partnership," to which the Russian Federation does not belong.
