BRISTOL accountants Smith & Williamson has been appointed administrator of a hotel in South Wales. Gil Lemon and Greg Palfrey, from the firm's restructuring and recovery arm, are running the financial affairs of the Best Western Mount Sorrel Hotel at Barry, near Cardiff, while a buyer is sought.

The hotel is trading as normal, with all 31 employees kept on.
