COMMUNITY leaders left deflated by delays to a new Lampeter bike track have slammed the political posturing that threatens the planned facility.

Residents group MYDTARA fears two-and-a-half years of hard work preparing to get a dirt jump track constructed at Maesyderi Field will be wasted unless Ceredigion Council reverses a decision to refuse per mission.

Lampeter Town Council, which rents the field from the authority and leads a field management committee, is due to meet county council officers next week to ask for a U-turn over landlord consent after approaching chief executive Bronwen Morgan …
