Aug. 29--For a while, it looked as though Ventura County residents interested in hopping aboard the food-truck trend on a regular basis had but three options: They could follow the Twitter feed of a certain Los Angeles-based truck and show up at the appointed time for some illicit pork sisig tacos served in the alley behind a Ventura clothing store. (Shhh! A reader tells me he saw a similar truck parked and serving in downtown Ventura on a recent Friday night.) They could drive out to Limoneira Ranch in Santa Paula for the Gourmet Food Truck & Bocce Ball Festival, presented as a fundraiser for FOOD Share. The only problem? The final festival of the summer took place Aug. 21. ("See you in nine months!" said organizers.) …
