Aug. 24--Green peanuts have started appearing on the shelves of local grocery stores. It's funny, but I don't remember having ever seen them there before. In the past, you had to know someone who grew them or find them at a farmer's market. Boiled Green Peanuts
1 pound green peanuts, unshelled Water to cover 5 tablespoons salt 1 tablespoon cayenne, optional 1 whole clove garlic, optional
1 dried red chili, optional Wash the peanuts well. Place them into a pot and cover with water. Add the salt and stir well.
