Wilson, state officials keep eye on Hurricane Irene.

Aug. 23--Wilson may be in for some rough weather by the weekend if Hurricane Irene continues along its current path. Even though it is early, weather forecasters are predicting Wilson could be affected by Irene sometime late Friday and into Saturday. The severity of the impact is what will be in question until later this week, said Gordon Deno, director of Wilson Emergency Management. Personnel with Emergency Management are already beginning to gear up to prepare for the storm.
