AN EVENING Post reader helped catch two muggers, a court heard.

Police asked for help after the pair targeted two men on December 4 last year after trying to chat to them on Whiteladies Road.

The muggers followed them and in a scuffle that ensued - during which a belt was placed around one of the victim's necks - an iPhone was stolen.

Ryan Hailes, 24, of Danbury Crescent, Southmead, and Ashley Knight, 23, of Charfield Road, Southmead, were found guilty of robbery after a trial.
