2. 0319 Announcer-read report over video with natural sound: Special section entitled Study the Spirit of Hu Jintao's [ 1 July] Speech and Carry Out Missions. Report on the efforts made by a Nanjing Military Region brigade to continuously innovate its military training methods in connection with the demand put forward by President Hu Jintao in his 1 July speech on strengthening military training under conditions of informatization. The brigade, which was the birthplace of the Guo Xingfu Teaching Methods in the early 1960s, has cultivated a large group of instructors who are proficient in providing informatization-based training and has effectively pushed forward transformation of the modes of generating its troops' combat capability. The company to which late Guo Xingfu belonged recently held a training demonstration session during which principal officers at battalion and company levels and backbone grassroots officers successively gave demonstrations of providing training with the help of various advanced teaching means. The brigade has constructed an informatized troop-training site through establishing an operational laboratory, a gaming exercise room, and a laser-based simulated true-to-life combat system.
