Aug. 12--About a half-dozen police from Exeter Township and Central Berks responded to the Antietam Valley Recreation Center after an angry crowd chased a boy up a tree Thursday night, officers said. The incident occurred about 8 near Carsonia Lake. No one was injured or arrested and the crowd dispersed as soon as police arrived. Initial reports indicated that a crowd of 30 to 40 youths were surrounding the tree where a teen from Exeter had taken refuge after getting into an argument with a girl who was with a large group of friends.
