Beanie pleads guilty in tax case.

Aug. 10--EVEN THOUGH he was behind bars for 10 months in 2004 and 2005, rapper Beanie Sigel still made a pretty good living, federal prosecutors said yesterday. Sigel, whose real name is Dwight Grant, pocketed more than $1.1 million during those two years, about half of it from royalty income, the feds said. But the rapper pleaded guilty yesterday to three counts of failing to file tax returns for 2003, 2004 and 2005, during which time the government says he had a total gross income of almost $1.5 million, of which more than $1 million was taxable.
