Ssekandi, MPs Fight Over Vehicle.

Vice President Edward Kiwanuka Ssekandi is facing accusations that he forcefully took a vehicle belonging to the Parliamentary Commission.

An investigation by the Sunday Monitor has revealed that at one time, the former Speaker who was recently appointed the Vice President, offered to buy the Parliament vehicle which was not up for sale.

During his last days in office as Speaker of Parliament, Mr Ssekandi allegedly influenced the Parliamentary Commission to have the vehicle, Registration Number UG0069H Toyota Land-Cruiser, donated to him through unclear circumstances.

The decision to have the vehicle given to him was later reached at a meeting he attended even though he later took leave for members to discuss the matter freely. …
