North Korea pays tribute to president's mother on 79th death anniversary.

Pyongyang, 31 July - Wreaths were laid before the statue of Kang Pan Sok [Kim Il-sung's mother], an indomitable revolutionary fighter and an outstanding leader of the Korean women's movement, at the Chilgol Revolutionary Site and her grave in Mangyongdae on Sunday, the 79th anniversary of her demise.

Seen there were wreaths from Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, chairman of the DPRK [Democratic People's Republic of Korea, North Korea] National Defence Commission and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army.
