Aug. 01--Erie County Council has been asked to sign off on appointing "special counsel" to handle an employment-discrimination case filed against Erie County Executive Barry Grossman's administration. Grossman wants to hire Erie lawyer Mark Kuhar to handle his administration's response to a formal complaint filed with the Erie County Human Relations Commission in April by lawyer Jeffrey Del Fuoco. In paperwork he forwarded to the commission, Del Fuoco claims he was denied a position of Erie County assistant public defender by Grossman's administration because of his age and gender, and because he refused to donate to Grossman's campaign.
