July 30--It is no secret that Cardinals shortstop Ryan Theriot has been struggling. Coming into Friday night's game against the Chicago Cubs he was in a zero-for-14 streak at the plate. Daniel Descalso has been starting in his position throughout the past week and the Cardinals just promoted another middle infielder, Tyler Greene, from Class AAA Memphis. Meanwhile, there are less than two days before the non-waiver trade deadline, and St. Louis has been looking for a shortstop.
