Mischief-makers from one of the nation's best-loved cartoons have been running riot at a National Trust property.

Characters from The Beano have been let loose on Arlington Court, near Barnstaple, in a bid by the charity to shed stuffy preconceptions about its image.

The house features in this week's issue of The Beano, as the Bash Street Kids get up to no good on a visit there.
