April 29--SPRINGFIELD, Ill. -- Gov. Pat Quinn touted today's federal court decision to allow the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to blow the Missouri fuseplug levee.

Quinn said in a statement that he hopes the ruling is upheld, despite Missouri's appeals.

"I thank the court for making the right decision in allowing the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to take the steps it deems necessary to ensure public safety during this crisis," Quinn said.
