Ethiopian premier urges aid for famine victims in central Somalia.

Prime Minister Meles Zenawi has said the drought situation in central Somalia was as bad as the one in southern part of the country. The prime minister also called on the international community to provide as much food aid to central Somalia as to southern Somalia.

Prime Minister Meles Zenawi made the remarks when he held talks in his office with the UK minister for Africa, Henry Bellingham.
