July 25--The University Medal is the highest nonacademic award that Indiana University can bestow. Therefore, it made perfect sense that President Michael A. McRobbie made the Lilly Endowment the first organization ever to receive the prestigious award in a recent presentation at the university's historic Lilly House in Indianapolis. The Lilly Endowment has given more than $500 million to the university over the past three decades, including $155 million to the scientifically important Indiana Genomics Initiative and $44 million for the 85,000 square-foot Jacobs School of Music Faculty Studio Building now under construction at the northeast corner …
